Register Now For ADCO's 2012 Kids Helping Kids Walkathon Every May, ADCO member centres and the children, families and communities they serve participate in ADCO’s annual Kids Helping Kids Walkathon. It’s a fantastic province-wide fundraiser that has raised over $1 million since it began in 1987. The 2011 total was over $65,000. One of the best parts of the Kids Helping Kids Walkathon is that each centre’s contribution goes to the regional children’s hospital that serves their community. The 2011 proceeds were distributed as follows:
$ 1,526.00 -- Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Ottawa
$ 3,450.00 - - Children's Hospital of Western Ontario, London$17,320.00 -- McMaster Children's Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario
$44,000.00 -- Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto

A Message From This Year's Walkathon Chair
First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who participated in or supported the 2011 ADCO Kids Helping Kids Walkathon. Your generosity helps support the life-saving treatments offered by Ontario's children's hospitals. It is my great privilege to have the opportunity to serve as Walkathon Event Chair once again in 2012. ADCO's Kids Helping Kids Walkathon is a wonderful event that brings licensed child care programs, families, children and entire communities together in support of a most worthy cause. It also provides our youngest citizens with opportunities to learn about sharing with others, being part of a team devoted to a goal that is bigger than themselves, and the importance of physical fitness Please join me in making this year's event one of our most successful ever. And, do be sure to take lots of pictures of your special Walkathon day. We'd love to share them with other ADCO members on our web site and in Childcare Today magazine.
